Meet Your Team
We’re financial advisors who help you capitalize on your success so you can protect and maximize your wealth. We believe you need defensive safeguards as well as proactive accumulation strategies to create optimal results, and we help you develop a comprehensive plan that protects you from potential risks and prepares you for the future. As fiduciaries in the advisory capacity, your needs and goals will always come first, and our advice will reflect what serves you best, no matter what.
At the end of the day, you determine the direction of your life, and you have the autonomy to make decisions about how you plan. We know that when you own your financial plan, you’ll be more invested in the outcomes, and you’ll feel even greater satisfaction when you reach your goals. Our job is to point out your blind spots, show you opportunities, and give you sound advice so you can stay on course.

Professional
Tom has committed his career to becoming a trusted advisor for his clients, helping them prioritize their goals and developing personalized financial plans designed to help them achieve their visions for the future. “Each client receives a very specific plan to meet their unique, individual needs,” said Tom. “Nothing is boilerplate. Everything is, quite frankly, made from scratch.”
Tom says the critical component in developing a personalized financial plan is getting to know as much as possible about each client.
“We look at each person’s situation differently. Until we know our clients in-depth and understand their true needs and goals, we can’t make a recommendation. So, we spend the time required to fully grasp what our clients really want to do, and then use all of the resources at our disposal to create the optimal plan to help them achieve their goals.
“I’m most proud of the fact that we can provide world-class financial products and advice right here in Barboursville, Huntington and Charleston. Northwestern Mutual provides us with all of the tools, information and technology we need to provide our clients with the same, expert advice you will find in places like mid-town Manhattan, Chicago and Los Angeles. A lot of people think you have to go to those big cities to get an expert. You don’t. We have experts and expert advice right here.”
Background & Education
Tom joined Northwestern Mutual in January 1988 as a Financial Representative immediately following graduation from Marshall University, where he received his degree in finance. Tom has continued his education, earning his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designations.
